Major and his wife Beronica, have made Columbia their home for the last thirty-eight years. Major, an avid outdoorsman enjoys hunting and fishing along with playing golf on his time off. In addition Major and Beronica are members of Eastminister Presbyterian Church and the Forest Lake Country Club. Major is the Vice President of the Citadel Alumni Football Association and a Life Member of the Citadel Alumni Association.
